Formed in 2020 in London, England, by frontman Joe Ferdinand, bassist Declan Brown, and guitarist Alex Carmichael, SUNKIN are bound over a love of creating music. Their first show was at London’s iconic Omeara days before the UK went into a national lockdown, the silver lining being that they had time to reflect, write, and develop further.
SUNKIN’s debut single, “The Pond”, introduced Ferdinand as an emotionally honest lyricist of complex, alternative rock music. With a penchant for euphoric, hard-hitting guitar anthems, Ferdinand showcased himself as an acute observer and storyteller. Reflecting on the trials and tribulations of past relationships and mental health struggles, he poetically shines a light on the universal anxieties that plague so many.
Having enjoyed two years of thorough development, 2024 sees SUNKIN re-introduce themselves with enrapturing new music. Championed by High Plateau Productions, their first 2024 release “Blind Spot '' is bound to evoke mass empathy and connection by exploring the strife of a young couple trying to make their way in the world. With 2024 set to be an exciting year for SUNKIN they are gearing up for multiple releases and live shows.
