Boyle Arts Festival’s much-loved In Conversation series returns as broadcaster and journalist Carole Coleman sits down with one of Ireland’s most recognisable and beloved voices, John Creedon.

From his early days growing up in Cork as one of twelve children, to a celebrated career with RTÉ Radio 1, Creedon has become a familiar presence in Irish homes. A Jacob’s and PPI award-winning broadcaster, he is best known for The John Creedon Show, as well as his wide-ranging television work exploring Ireland’s landscape, folklore and culture through series such as Creedon’s Wild Atlantic Way and Atlas of Ireland.

A storyteller at heart, Creedon’s work has taken him across the globe, yet his deep connection to Irish heritage remains central. His bestselling books, including That Place We Call Home, A Treasury of Irish Folklore, and his acclaimed memoir This Boy’s Heart, have further cemented his place as a leading voice in Irish cultural life.

In conversation with Carole Coleman; an experienced broadcaster, former RTÉ correspondent, and long-time host of this popular series; this promises to be an engaging and insightful discussion. Expect stories from a remarkable career, reflections on Ireland’s past and present, and plenty of warmth and humour along the way.
