Join three of Ireland's most distinctive contemporary writers for readings and conversation exploring fiction, poetry, memoir and the creative process.
Hosted by novelist Seán Farrell, author of the acclaimed debut Frogs for Watchdogs, the event brings together an exceptional panel of literary voices. John McKenna, author of seventeen books across fiction, memoir, biography, poetry and short stories, is one of Ireland's most celebrated writers, with numerous literary awards to his name and a recent nomination for Irish Fiction Laureate.
He is joined by Niamh Mac Cabe, an award-winning writer, visual artist, editor and lecturer whose work spans fiction, poetry, plays, nonfiction and hybrid forms, and Jessamine O'Connor, whose fiction and poetry have earned widespread recognition, including awards from the Galway Hospital Trust, the Drumshanbo Written Word Festival and the Ireland Chair of Poetry. Her latest novel, Somewhere, is published by The Lilliput Press.
Together, these three writers will share readings from their work and discuss the inspirations, challenges and joys of contemporary writing in Ireland today. A fascinating event for readers, writers and anyone interested in the power of storytelling.
