Boyle Arts Festival is pleased to present an afternoon of song featuring emerging Irish artists David O'Carroll and Orlaith Sharkey.
A fourth-year Bachelor of Music student at TU Dublin Conservatoire, David has quickly established himself as a promising young baritone. He has performed leading roles in productions of Acis and Galatea, Così fan tutte and Albert Herring, and is preparing for upcoming performances in Madama Butterfly and the international opera project Bravo. An accomplished recitalist, David is also a multiple prize-winner at Feis Ceoil and music festivals throughout Ireland.
Joining him is pianist and accompanist Orlaith Sharkey, a graduate of both TU Dublin Conservatoire and MTU Cork School of Music. A highly sought-after collaborative pianist, Orlaith works with choirs, singers and opera productions across Ireland and currently serves as accompanist for Cór Linn, the National Concert Hall's youth choir.
Together they will present a varied programme of vocal music, showcasing the artistry, musicality and expressive range of two outstanding young performers at the beginning of exciting professional careers.
