Boyle Arts Festival is delighted to welcome acclaimed soprano Lorna Breen and award-winning pianist Adam McDonagh for an afternoon of exceptional vocal and piano music.
A graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music and one of Ireland’s most distinguished young sopranos, Lorna has performed extensively as a soloist and with renowned vocal ensembles Anúna and Systir, appearing in concert halls and festivals across Europe and Asia. A multiple prize-winner at Feis Ceoil, she is celebrated for her expressive artistry, technical brilliance and captivating stage presence.
Joining her is Dublin-born pianist Adam McDonagh, one of Ireland’s leading collaborative pianists. A performer at venues including Wigmore Hall, the National Concert Hall and King’s College Cambridge, Adam has built an impressive international career as a recitalist, chamber musician and opera répétiteur, working with Irish National Opera, Opera North and leading festivals throughout Ireland and the UK.
Together they will present a programme of song and piano repertoire showcasing the beauty, drama and intimacy of the classical tradition. This promises to be a memorable recital from two outstanding musicians.
