Get ready to move, make, and celebrate! In the lead-up to the Boyle Arts Festival Opening Ceremony, this year’s Children’s Parade Workshops invite young creators to play a key role in the magic of opening night.

Running from July 13th - 16th, these fun-filled, hands-on sessions offer each child the chance to explore movement with Trisha McDermott Dance School, costume design with Carol Daly, and singing in collaboration with the Irish National Opera - to spark imagination and build excitement - discovering their creativity.

The visual movement culminates at King House on the evening of Thursday, July 16th with a collective public performance to officially launch the 2026 festival programme.

Every child will help shape the vibrant energy of the parade and perform proudly as part of this special festival moment.
