A lot has changed this session.
We have six parties, a minority government, and the highest number of new MSPs since 1999.
And our new Presiding Officer was ‘elected on a mandate to shake up how we do things, make Government more accountable to Parliament, improve scrutiny and deliver more effectively for the people whom we represent’, and he’s made changes to the structure of the week, to support that.
We'll cover some of the key changes:
- The parties, the numbers and what that means
- Two FMQs sessions
- More time for questions
- Time in debates for interventions
- Elected conveners and the new committees
- Proxy voting
