CCBS Repair Shop Upcycling Class

Information

In this free one hour session, you can choose to learn either patchwork or sashiko from our team of expert upcyclers.

PATCHWORK

Bring along your damaged or stained clothes and mend them back into use with patchwork. You’ll leave the session with the knowledge and skills to turn leftover fabric into useful items – to wear, gift or even sell. No fabric ever needs to be wasted once you become a dab hand at upcycling scraps!

SASHIKO

The sashiko team will teach visible mending the Japanese way. Repair jeans, clothing or any fabric items using traditional Japanese embroidery to not only fix rips or holes but turn them into a beautiful unique feature on your item. For this class you can bring your own item or learn the skills using materials supplied by us.

These sessions are free but space is limited so make sure to book in advance. There will be another session at 4.30-5.30pm if you prefer to sign up on the day.
