A late evening gathering in the Kitchen Marquee pairing great food and drink
After the fireworks fade, the Kitchen Marquee comes back to life for a late-night collaboration of food and whisky. Last year's Rock Island tasting sold out so quickly that we've moved it to the main stage, and paired Chloe Wood, who leads the tasting for Douglas Laing's award-winning Rock Island, with Julie Lin, who returns to the marquee after her opening show and is a whisky fan in her own right.
Chloe will guide you through Rock Island Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, a beautifully balanced maritime dram drawn from single cask single malts from Scotland's whisky islands, including Islay, Jura, Arran and Orkney. As Chloe talks you through the flavour notes, Julie will be at the hob cooking up small plates designed to complement each dram, showing just how naturally great whisky and great food belong together.
Settle in with a dram of Rock Island in a complimentary tasting glass to take home, plus the chance to sample something a little extra from the Douglas Laing collection. The perfect way to round off Friday night by Loch Ryan.
Due to the inclusion of alcohol, this event is designed for those aged 18 and over.
