Fungi Foray

Information

Led by our staff and fungi-enthusiast volunteers we'll take a gentle walk around a nearby wood, looking for edible and non-edible fungi.

We'll be introduced to the key points in helping ID fungi, and the families they are from. If you have an interest in fungi, this walk is for you! Come along, whether you have no knowledge, or you're an expert!

We may have a wee cook-up after the walk, weather depending. This, along with exact meeting point, will be confirmed closer to the time, but will be within Kirriemuir.

Important Information
This is a ticketed event and booking is essential.

Please feel free to bring a drink and snack with you, wear sturdy footwear, and dress for the weather conditions on the day.

Children under 18 must attend with a responsible adult.

Our volunteers are very knowledgeable but are not trained professionals. We recommend doing your own research and verifying any information yourself before sampling any wild foods.

Photography
We take photographs at our events to help promote our activities and impacts. These photographs will be used on our social media channels including this website, and for the purposes of reporting to funders. If you do not wish for your photograph to be taken, please notify a member of staff at the event.
