The Robert Fish Band

The Robert Fish Band have been getting folk on their feet in Edinburgh and beyond since the great ceilidh revival of the 1990s.

They spend many an evening “walking the line between tradition and innovation with sparkling flair – and a highly contagious sense of fun” (Sue Wilson) and have played venues from Blackpool to Brittany, from Leipzig to Lochaber, from Glasgow Green to Gilmerton Miners’ Welfare Club. They play and call the steps for all the well-known Scottish ceilidh dances and a few of the more unusual ones besides; with a line-up of fiddle, accordion/whistle, guitar, bass and percussion.
