In 1992 James Carville said "It's the economy, stupid" - and he was right. Sir Tom Hunter and Centrica CEO Chris O'Shea discuss with Stephen Jardine how business can drive change.
In 1992 James Carville coined the deathless phrase, “It’s the economy, stupid” in Bill Clinton’s successful presidential campaign. He was right then and even more right now. So rather than rely on politicians who often have experience only of politics, why not ask those who have driven the economy forward for their analysis of what needs to be done to build Britain better? Sir Tom Hunter, businessman and philanthropist, joins Chris O’ Shea, the Chief Executive of the energy giant, Centrica, owner of Scottish Gas, to talk to Stephen Jardine about how business and philanthropy can bring about positive change.
