Plein Air workshop with Kieran Guckian acrylic or oil

NB: To buy a ticket for this workshop, you must first purchase a ticket to the main Plein Air event, you will then receive an email containing an access code for this workshop.

In his workshop Kieran will focus on sharing his painting process in acrylics, from subject choice and compositions to finding realism through colour and values.

Suited to those with some Plein Air experience, Kieran will demo his technique as well as working one on one with all participants between demo stages.

His aim will be to focus on sharing his knowledge and helping participants throughout the workshop.

About Kieran Guckian

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Kieran’s art journey began with a love of ornithology and drawing birds. He went on to attend Crawford College of Art and Design, graduating with a BA Hons in Fine Art. Painting on location from life is central to Kieran’s practice, and his location work informs his more conceptual studio pieces. Kieran has exhibited in the RHA annual and was a finalist on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2025. He currently splits his time between painting on location and in the studio in MART Studios in Dublin.
