Dealings with Death and the Devil is a traditional storytelling show that brings together stories from across the UK that look at dealings with entities beyond human conception and emerging from the other side. In this 60-minute storytelling show, we take the audience on a journey exploring their perceptions of death, the devil and how we respond in the face of hardship.
A collaboration between Ryan Martin, a resident of the Scottish Borders, who’s story explores one persons personal experience with death and how she responds to an encounter with evil; Kate Walters, who bring s tale of a man who tries to trick death and is forced to suffer the consequences; and Mary Baxter who brings us tales of Jack tussling with the reaper and finding coins that may have a higher cost than monetary their value.
Dealings with Death and the Devil is a dark and often humorous celebration of human triumph when dealing with forces beyond our control.
The show is aimed at 14+, and hopes to bring thrills, laughter, legends and mythology to an audience in Duns.
