Mind Full - Lewis Teckkam

Lewis Teckkam is based in Hawick and is interested in storytelling in all its formats, both fictional and factual. Lewis has participated in many drama projects, performances and workshops; primarily with Borders Youth Theatre. In 2017 he had two short stories published in the Eildon Tree magazine. In 2020 Lewis wrote four monologues in which four famous fictional characters mused on ‘Lockdown’. Performances of these can be seen on Borders Youth Theatre YouTube channel. Recently Lewis has focussed on ‘personal experience’ work, inspired by being part of ‘Birds of Paradise’ theatre company’s mentoring programme for Disabled Artists. In 2021 he wrote and directed an experimental short film ‘Mind Full’ which was screened at Alchemy Film Festival in 2022. Lewis has developed ‘Mind Full’ into a script for performance at 2024 Duns Playfest and we are happy to see this piece returning as a developed show.
