Leanne, Lucy and Richard spent their childhoods wondering about the moon and promised to one day live there, together. As their lives play out before our eyes, we see them grow, always together and always under the watchful gaze of the moon. With time racing past them, will they ever fulfill their promise and make it to the moon?

Our main target audience is ages 15 - 25, people who match the ages of the characters in the later portion of the show.

Simply Surreal is a grassroots Scottish Theatre Company. Founded in 2015 by Lisa McDonald and Dougal Thomson during their time studying at Queen Margaret University, Simply Surreal has spent the last decade championing working-class creatives and telling surrealist stories to audiences across Scotland. Our mission is simple, to make new and innovative theatre that is accessible to all, and not dictated by money or funding. Independent Theatre that is affordable for all.
