Information

When two childhood friends, distant strangers to each other now, find themselves trapped in the classroom of their least favourite teacher at a 10 year high school reunion, they can’t resist the urge to poke their noses where they don’t belong. Following clues left by their former teacher, they begin to unravel a life forgotten. A game of hide and seek, some horny classmates and some punishment exercises brings about nostalgia and some hard truths that neither was prepared for. Is this the rebirth of their friendship? Or are certain things better left in the past?

Note of Concern is written by and stars Will Evans and Jordan Monks - two Fringe veterans. Jordan Monks has starred in Edinburgh Fringe shows such as The Wizards of Armillaria (2025) and This Play Sucks (2025), and has had his writing staged at multiple Edinburgh Events. Will Evans has written Happier Daze (2023) and Badger (2024) - the former leading him to be a part of the BBC Writer’s Voices 2025 cohort. Note of Concern is directed by Stephanie Austin, an RCS Graduate who has been involved with shows at A Play, A Pie and a Pint and Tron Theatre.

*Fast Snail Productions is a new Scottish production company specialising in Stage and Screen. Pulling its company members from multiple disciplines, it makes its Fringe debut with Note of Concern - a show full of heart, twists and laughs. Off the back of their sellout The Garden Party , they are ready to showcase emerging Scottish talent at the 2025 Fringe. This award-nominated production company is only a year old, but their profile is rising rapidly.*
