In a purgatory plastered with graffiti, glitter, and teenage angst, two young girls find themselves trapped after their sudden deaths with only one thing they know for sure: something else is here, watching them, deciding who gets to leave and who gets left behind.

As they – and the audience – piece together the clues hidden in this
fragmented collage of memories, movement, and Y2K pop culture, the girls must battle each other and their own demons to face what they’re truly willing to do to escape.

PERFECT DEAD GIRLS is a gruesome yet tender celebration of the joys and paranoias of girlhood, and an exploration of how young women survive in systems that ask them to tear each other down.

Audaciously Tenacious Theatre is a Scotland-based theatre company committed to creating bold, boundary-pushing new work that champions opportunities and access for early-career and working-class artists. After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, their debut production, PERFECT DEAD GIRLS, is now available for touring in UK and international venues.

Originally premiering at the CCA in Glasgow as part of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Emergence Festival, PERFECT DEAD GIRLS was awarded the Keep It Fringe Fund, the RCS CEDO Ideas Fund, and earned critical and audience acclaim for its run at the 2025 Edinburgh
Fringe. The script has since been published with 1319 Press.
