Nature Natter – a gentle wander

Information

Less of a walk, more of a wander – with chit-chat and time to pause. For an hour, we will give ourselves permission to appreciate all the natural wonders around us – no matter how big or small.

Our walking group may suit you if you are:

– Interested in nature and wildlife
– Looking to get outdoors more
– Enjoy walking at a gentle pace
– Would like to meet and chat with others

Stopping and noticing can be an interesting and powerful experience. Feeling present and connected to nature and the outdoors has wonderful wellbeing benefits – it can reduce our stress, increase our mood and energy, and bring a sense of gratitude.

The walk will be led by a Changes member of staff and volunteer walk leader.

We are a drop-in activity open to any adult (18+) living in East Lothian. We meet once a week on Mondays.

Inclusive for people with low fitness levels as we walk at slow pace and have pauses. This walk is wheelchair accessible.

Some of the walk is along a flat grassy bank by the river so could be muddy in rain. Flat distance.

Trainers are fine. Come prepared for rain.

Only assistance dogs, and registered emotional support animals.

Age 18+.

There will be no toilet facilities at the start or during the walk. Nearby toilets are at Tesco Extra.

What to bring
No equipment required. Please wear weather appropriate clothing.

You are invited to bring binoculars or a camera if you enjoy wildlife spotting or photography.

There are many bus services with stops on Bridge Street (5 mins walk), Musselburgh High Street Stop D (5 mins) and Musselburgh High Street Stop A (7 mins). There is also parking on roads nearby.
