Having gained global notoriety in 2012 when the collective were imprisoned for two years in a penal colony as a consequence of their performance of a ‘punk prayer’ inside Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Masha’s life was one of house arrest and detention till she escaped Russia dressed as a food courier in 2022. Join her to discuss why the right to protest and freedom of speech are so vital in the face of growing global authoritarianism.
