The Travelling Janes Return to Fringe by the Sea! We’re thrilled to announce that The Travelling Janes are making their much-anticipated return to Fringe by the Sea this year! After their electrifying debut—complete with a standing ovation and not one, but two encores—the Janes are back and ready to raise the roof once again. This time, the band brings an even more international flair: The Janes are coming over from America, Singapore, France, to join our two from Scotland. Expect a wild, joy-filled, and swinging ride through old-time jazz and bawdy blues that promises to top even last year’s unforgettable performance. But make no mistake—The Travelling Janes are no pastiche. These are seasoned, deeply knowledgeable musicians dedicated to the roots of American music from the mid-1800s to the 1930s. With a shared passion for the deep connections between folk and traditional jazz, the Janes explore that crossover with infectious energy and heartfelt authenticity. This year’s lineup features: Ali Affleck on vocals, percussion, and washboard, Katie Cavera on banjo and guitar, Amanda Lee on Piano and Aurélie Tropez on reeds.
