Winning is important, but growing up is what really counts... Join us for the Tony Award-winning musical, presented by PASS at Edinburgh College.
Winning is important, but growing up is what really counts. Join six quirky misfits at The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee – and maybe a few audience members – as they compete for the spelling crown in this heartfelt and hilarious Tony Award-winning smash-hit.
The show revolves around a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Elementary in the USA. These unconventional adolescents who love spelling compete from different schools in the Bee with big hopes of winning and the contest is run by three equally quirky grown-ups. Packed with infectious songs by William Finn, witty dialogue by Rachel Sheinkin, and a few surprises throughout, this fast-paced, feel-good show is a joyous celebration of embracing your true self.
