Since our earliest days, Kelburn has proudly showcased underground and emerging Scottish and international music outside of the mainstream, and many artists who have gone on to find success played early gigs at the annual Kelburn Garden Party. Jazz is the original DIY music, founded on the principles of total freedom of expression, collaboration and exploration – principles we whole-heartedly share. Unless you have been on Mars, you will have noticed the explosion of the UK jazz scene over the past decade or so, culminating in Ezra Collective winning the Mercury Prize in 2025. Scotland has not slept on this, with a clutch of artists also making international waves, many of whom will be appearing this weekend. And arguably the man who has had most to play in shepherding in this exciting new era is Gilles Peterson, a true empresario and arguably the most influential DJ and broadcaster in the world. It is our sincere pleasure to welcome GP and these artists to Kelburn for a one-off celebration of the music, the people and the vibe. Welcome to the Kelburn Jazz Weekend!
