Hosted at GloWormRecording in Glasgow - the studio where 'Nostalgia Burns' was recorded and mixed. The event will start with a welcome refreshment, followed by a full album listening experience in person with Richard and Iain, in the studio control room where the album was mixed. Following on from that, you will be given an exclusive Siiga acoustic performance in the live studio room. Finally, Richard will lead an exclusive 'behind the scenes' exploration of the dazzling visual world of 'Nostalgia Burns' , with an open Q&A on all things Robot and Nostalgia Burns. For true fans of Siiga this is a special event not to be missed!

This year in 2026 - a new kind of story begins.

The third soaring full length studio album by
Isle of Skye’s Siiga arrives like a treasure from
another dimension where blurring sounds and
visions of future and nostalgia collide.

Following on from acclaimed albums, ‘The Sea & The Mirror’ and ‘Gemini Rising’, songwriter and architect of Siiga, Richard Macintyre continues to defy genre, taking us into another of his multi-layered dreamworlds, where he and bandmate Iain Hutchison paint Siiga’s unique trademark, shimmering tapestry of sound on an analogue ocean of glittering vintage guitars, classic synths and dreamlike textures through an epic voyage of stunning colour and light.

Music that exists between those flickering moments where sleep meets awake.

'We live a split identity these days, between ‘real life’ and ‘digital life’.
Our digital life is an infinite sprawl of pixels and information in which feeling, heart, truth, and compassion can often fade, resulting in a deep and numb detachment from our basic humanity - one viral moment to the next.
Art and music have become so devalued we give them away in the hope they survive.
I imagined a future where this ‘cloud’ holding all of our content finally crashes, all of it gone in an instant. The world before the internet. Would we do it all the same again, or would we instead plug back into the basic magic found in what it means to be a human being?
Maybe it’s going to take a machine to remind us of our humanity?
‘Nostalgia Burns’ could maybe have been some unknown physical classic record cast out there in the sands of space and time, surviving this digital apocalypse on cassette tape, now discovered in this future, delivered back to us as the soundtrack for an incredible journey where technology, humanity, the future, and the past collide to remind us of the beauty of this world and human life we have right in front of us'.

Macintyre’s captivating and compelling songwriting takes us beyond just the music, drawing us into the viceral, colourful visions that inform the fabric of these soundcapes and worlds.

This time is no different as the stunning visual world of 'Nostalgia Burns' will slowly come to life through the eyes of a mysterious figure from this dreamworld, in a truly unique collaboration from the boundless shared imagination of Richard Macintyre and L.A artist and designer Sarah Mgeni, whose recent credits include Amazon Prime's 'The Boys' and D.C Comics Doom Patrol.
