Information

A double-bill featuring two of the most boundary-pushing artists working in traditional music!

RÓIS is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and electronic artist from Fermanagh, whose songs breathe new life into a forgotten Ireland.
Her 2024 release MO LÉAN has swept the board winning the 2025 RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards: Best Emerging Artist and Best Original Folk Track, and the 2025 NI Music Prize for Best Live act and Best Album.
Blending elements of folk, sean-nós, electronics, and jazz harmony, RÓIS’ genre-bending sound transports listeners to a different realm. With shapeshifting sets, no two performances are ever the same, as audiences accompany RÓIS into her sound world. Expect twists and turns of tempo and genre, and moments of sheer magic, as she conducts the energy of the room. This is a place where the ancient meets the new.

“MO LÉAN is the most enchanting Irish release of the year.” - Nialler 9

“Recalling both the Gaelic tradition of séan-nos singing, and the work of experimental artists such as Meredith Monk, Yoko Ono and Hatis Noit” - The Guardian

Brìghde Chaimbeul is one of the most exciting musical minds in the world of Celtic folk today. She’s a master of the Scottish smallpipes – a mellower and more emotive cousin to the famous Great Highland bagpipes – and has taken them to the global stage. A native Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Skye, Brìghde roots her music in her language and culture.
Her widely acclaimed third album, Sunwise, sees her push forward experimentally but also immersing deeply in tradition, folklore and mystery. Extending on her experimental ethos, Chaimbuel’s new work continues to push the boundaries and expectations of both experimental and traditional sonics.
Haunting, entrancing, breathtaking, beautiful – this open-eared, understatedly virtuosic performer is transforming and creating new definitions for Scottish folk in the 21st century.

"Unique, exciting and forward-looking. Some of the most satisfying and complete music to be found anywhere in these islands." - The Quietus

"Chaimbeul has transformed from a promising young piper known only in folk circles to a worldwide phenomenon making bagpipes cool." - Bandcamp Daily (Album of the Day)
