About the Artist:
Cury has established herself as one of London's most proficient young composers and pianists, straight from Trinity Laban honours to collaborating with Max Richter & Yulia Mahr in-studio (Free & Equal Vol.2) and at Southbank Centre, a commission from the Royal Albert Hall associate artist programme for a composition performed at the Royal College of Music and a performance at SXSW 2026 London in early June.
Italian-Brazilian, London-based pianist, vocalist and composer, Carolina Cury brings her classical training into a distinctive avant-garde pop practice shaped by interdisciplinary performance and research-led composition. Her second solo album GLISSBLISS (29th May 2026) centres this vision, presenting a sculpted, piano-led sound world of suspended harmonies, intimate voice, strings and electronics that blends chamber sensibility with contemporary pop experimentation.
Conceived as both a sonic and tactile project, the release also extends into listening-focused performances and a curated LP edition.
Alongside the album, Cury continues collaborative work and doctoral research exploring gossip as musical material, further expanding the conceptual frame surrounding the record. GLISSBLISS crystallises her approach, transforming classical lineage into a personal and forward-looking pop language.
