Bedtime and West - The Fae - Laser and sound storytelling

Bedtime and West are an artistic duo who create immersive audio visual
installations which combine laser art, folklore, storytelling, poetry and surround sound; all weaved together to make a story come alive.

Ethereal soundscapes and smoky lasers gliding above the audiences heads create another layer of “seeing” the sound. The night sky, twinkling stars, sacred geometry, stories and dreams all become one on this mythical immersive journey.

The creative pair, Bedtime (sound designer) and Sophia West (laser artist) met whilst working together at the family festival, Vogrie Pogrie , 2023. Their love of folklore, nature, sound and light was the perfect creative mix for immersive installations, where the audience could simply be cared for, drift away, sit back and enter the land of storytelling. In their research they explore local myths of the Fae, their own, personal stories of
community, and what if the trees could talk through a laser beam?

Since the start of their artistic journey together they have performed at festivals such as Vogrie Pogrie, Noisily and Krankenhaus, in their usual setting amongst the forests and moss, but for a special treat they are bringing their 360 spectacle to The Pianodrome. Excited to fill this magnificent space with sound and lasers, they will also be joined by the talented pianist Timmy Knight to harmoniously blend piano with their stories and the multi skilled musician @Foxy Trax, Aidan Ferguson
to drum the beat of The Fae.
