Words that Burn is Amnesty International UK’s flagship creative education programme, it aims to empower young people to explore and take action for human rights through poetry.
Hosted by Imogen Stirling, you will be treated to brand new poetry written and performed by pupils from Leith Academy, Portobello High School and Boroughmuir High School. These young people have been learning about the power of poetry as a tool to explore and advocate for human rights whilst finding their own unique voice. Join us as we celebrate these young voices, listening to the human rights poetry they have created as part of this project.
