RopeOn X Reconfigure Lifedrawing

RopeOn and Reconfigure are joining forces to create an afternoon of rope/shibari focused life drawing.

This will be our first crossover event for a very long time, so we are excited to bring it back after so many years! For drawers; think buzzing energy, sensational shape-making, and a physicality so visceral you can almost taste it. And for tiers; this is an opportunity to see your ephemeral interactions captured on paper; the character of your scene and the qualities of your tie shaping the drawings you will see.

Paper and materials will be provided for those interested in sketching. There will also be sketchbooks for sale (£1.75 - £5.40, cash or card). Feel free to bring your own preferred drawing materials - if these are wet materials please bring something with which to protect the floor.

Those who choose to tie open themselves to the prospect of being drawn, though we will also have a small 'no-drawing' area. No-one needs to act any differently; the objective for those sketching will be to capture the energy, shapes and movement of your rope scene, though maybe we might pitch some fun prompts!

We have access to the building form 1.45 so you can grab a cup of tea and we will aim to get everyone settled in around 2pm. Due to the keycode entry system of the venue, if you don't arrive on time you may not be given entry.

Run Times
2:05: Starting Circle
We will have a starting circle to go over any guidelines, consent, and Topaz will give a brief drawing tutorial.

2:20: Drawing & Rope
Then will proceed to draw and tie, feel free to switch between the two as you wish! We will have a short break in the middle.

4:30: Closing circle
Then a small closing circle to share the work with each other if you wish at the end.
