Back for its third year, A Clash of the Drams returns with more fire, flavour, and friendly rivalry than ever. This isn’t just another whisky tasting — it’s a battle royale of Scotland’s finest brand ambassadors, each armed with a secret weapon dram from their personal stash.
YOU, the audience, will sip, score, and help crown the night’s champion — all while being part of a live recording for Not Another Whisky Podcast.
Hosted by:
Mitch Bechard – Keeper of the Quaich, whisky expert with 20+ years of industry experience, and co-host of Not Another Whisky Podcast. Now five years in with over 190 episodes, the podcast blends industry insight, unfiltered humour, and real whisky stories — and this is your chance to be part of the chaos live.
This Year’s Contenders:
Charlotte Coyle – UK Malts Ambassador for Benriach, The GlenDronach and Glenglassaugh. Charlotte brings deep production knowledge, creative flair, and a punchy palate to match.
Gordon Dundas – Senior Brand Ambassador and Advocacy Manager for Ian MacLeod Distillers (Tamdhu, Glengoyne, and Rosebank). With nearly two decades of experience, Gordon mixes storytelling with serious whisky chops.
Struan Grant Ralph – Global Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich. Born in Speyside and known across the globe, Struan leads Glenfiddich’s innovations and is no stranger to a bit of whisky banter.
Last year’s event sold out fast — and the room was buzzing with dram-fuelled debate, unexpected twists, and a good dose of competitive chaos. Expect more of the same this year, only bolder.

Getting here: Craigellachie is served by Stagecoach North Scotland bus route 36, which runs between Elgin Bus Station and Dufftown, stopping at Craigellachie (Brickfield / Fife Street / Lodge). The journey from Elgin takes around 30–35 minutes and typically runs hourly Monday–Saturday (reduced Sunday service). We recommend checking the latest timetables on the Stagecoach website or app before travel. The safari start and finish points are within a short walk of the main bus stops.
