Duncan Taylor is a multi-award-winning company that has built a reputation for owning one of the largest privately held collections of some of the world’s most sought-after vintage and rare whiskies. It continues to operate as a respected whisky merchant, blender, bottler, and cask broker.
For the first time, Duncan Taylor is opening its doors to the public as part of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Normally closed to visitors, this special opportunity offers an insider’s look at Duncan Taylor’s own cooperage and newly built warehouse, where guests will have the rare chance to sample whisky directly from the cask. Throughout the experience, you will taste five whiskies, each from a different decade, including a rare 1960s dram from the now-closed Caperdonich distillery, followed by whiskies from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.
The experience begins with a light lunch at the Bank Restaurant in Huntly, before guests are welcomed by one of Duncan Taylor’s expert brand ambassadors for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the site, concluding with a decade-by-decade tasting in Duncan Taylor’s Club Room.
The day concludes back at the Bank Restaurant in the Club Room with a guided tasting of four exceptional Duncan Taylor whiskies — a fitting finale to an unforgettable journey through one of the country’s oldest independent bottlers.
