This year marks 200 years since Benrinnes distillery was established and we are delighted to opening the doors exclusively for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

Benrinnes was established in 1826 near Aberlour, high on the northern flank of Ben Rinnes, a peak that dominates Speyside and can be seen for miles around. This distillery was soon washed away by floods in the harsh climate. It was re-established a safe distance away in 1835, and it still enjoys a high moorland environment. It draws its water from two pure granite-bed hill streams, the Scurran and Rowantree Burns. True to its origins, Benrinnes traditionally uses small stills to produce a rich, thick style of malt; it is a deep, flavourful whisky well suited for sherry casks.
