Boortmalt Maltings Tour

Information

Boortmalt are one of the leading malt producers and their expertise is widely acknowledged by brewers and distillers, who rely on the supply of top-quality barley malt.

For the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, we are opening our maltings and invite you to join us on a unique experience to see how malted barley is made.

The tour will last approximately 60 minutes.

Notes for visiting Boortmalt Maltings:

1. Site safety wear (safety shoes, hard hat and hi-viz) are required equipment and will be provided. It is a condition of the tour that all provided PPE will be worn and no exceptions will be made. Please advise shoe size at time of booking
2. Loose jewellery, watches etc should not be worn for the tour. Bags should also be left in a suitable safe place. Boortmalt has no safety storage on site and will accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal possessions.
3. Please remember that we are not an established tour venue so access and facilities can be limited.

Getting here: Bus No 35 runs via Bucke but there is a considerable walk from the bus stop so travelling by car or taxi is advisable.
