The Experience | Whisky Candle Making Experience at SPÈ Atelier followed by Whisky Tasting with Logie Timber Supplies

For Whisky lovers, design-minded travellers, and those drawn to craft, ritual, and the quiet luxury of making something by hand.

We invite a small circle of guests into an intimate, hands-on experience where scent and whisky meet as shared rituals of place, patience, and craft.

Step inside SPÈ Atelier at Logie Steading and create your own Speyside Whisky candle, guided by our maker. Drawing from our Whisky & Smoke Collection, you’ll blend natural waxes and essential oils shaped by notes of wood, grain, and gentle smoke — a sensory translation of the whisky-making tradition into scent. SPÈ Atelier creates all natural candles and home botanicals drawing inspiration from the same landscapes, air, and traditions that shape the region’s most revered whiskies.

After the workshop, guests will continue the day at Logie Timber Supplies for a guided tasting of a collection of five Speyside whiskies — completing the journey from scent to spirit. Logie Timber is a full circle timber business, focussing on the use of Scottish timber and celebrating all things wood. Our shop at Logie Steading is a window into our world; wood and whisky can’t be separated, we like to pick a selection of whiskies to show off what is created on our doorstep.

What’s Included:

SPÈ ATELIER | You’ll leave with one 250ml hand-poured soy candle, customised with your own personal label and wrapped in SPÈ’s signature parchment, marked with your own batch details — a personal artefact of the day. A complimentary Botanical Drink while you create your candle.

LOGIE TIMBER SUPPLIES | 5 Drams | A guided tasting of a collection of five Speyside whiskies — completing the journey from scent to spirit.

*Note due to candle setting times. Candles can either be picked up or delivered to your hotel or place of residence if within the Speyside region. Overseas Mailing can be arranged on site.

Logie Steading Visitor Center | SPÈ Atelier and Logie Timber Supplies are set within the beautiful and peaceful surrounds of Logie Steading Estate where you can enjoy lunch at Logie Steading Cafe, the beautiful estate gardens and browse the community of makers and shops onsite.

Logie Steading is located just south of Forres and in close proximity to distilleries: Dunphail and Dallas Dhu

Car | We are about 10 minutes drive from the town of Forres.
You will find us on the B9007, sign-posted off the A940 (Forres to Dava/Grantown road).
