Glenfarclas 2011 Family Cask Selection with Callum A Fraser

This year we invite you to join us here at Glenfarclas Distillery to select the first 2011 vintage to be added to our famous Family Cask Collection. As the only distillery to have a complete collection of Scotch whiskies bottled from 1954 to 2010, we are excited to expand our range to include the 2011, which will give us an astonishing range of 57 Family Casks vintages.

This event will be hosted by our Distillery Manager, Callum Fraser, who is an integral part of the Glenfarclas tasting panel. Each year at the Spirit of Speyside Festival we invite guests to join us for a tour around Glenfarclas distillery to discuss the process of how these beautiful whiskies are made before stepping inside the warehouse where a selection of our remaining family casks matures. Visitors are then invited into our Ships Room where they will have the chance to taste and score 6 different cask samples. The highest scoring sample will be bottled and released later in 2026 as the first 2011 Family Cask. This unique event is the only time of the year that we allow visitors to have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be part of the Glenfarclas tasting panel.

Please note: Over 18s only. It is advised that you organise your own transport in advance. It is a requirement of this event to be able to sample the whisky and is therefore not suitable for drivers. We cannot provide drivers packs for this event.
