Join SCAMP on an underwater safari of the harbour displayed on the live screen with discussion by one of the Team.
Join the Solway Coast and Marine Project (SCAMP) team for a live underwater safari of Stranraer Harbour. A remote operated vehicle (ROV) explores beneath the surface in real time, streamed onto the big screen, while a member of the SCAMP team talks through what you're seeing as it happens.
SCAMP is a 15-year initiative working with coastal communities along the Solway to restore vital underwater habitats, including the seagrass meadows and native oyster beds that the Loch Ryan area is famous for. This is a rare chance to see what's living right beneath the harbour you've been walking past all weekend, and to find out how local restoration projects are helping nature recover along our coastline.
A relaxed, drop-in session suitable for all ages, sea creatures permitting.
