We're delighted to be hosting a screening of Balancing the Scales on Wednesday 19th November at Kirrie Connections' new community annexe!
Join us for a screening of Balancing the Scales, a film exploring the delicate balance between beaver restoration and the conservation of migratory fish populations.
This groundbreaking film is the first in Britain to address this important topic, bringing the most up-to-date understanding and evidence to light.
With stunning visuals, insights from leading experts, and narration by the distinguished Dame Joanna Lumley, it highlights both the promising opportunities and the urgent challenges at the intersection of species restoration and conservation.
Balancing The Scales is a film by Beaver Trust, directed and produced by Nina Constable Media, funded by The European Nature Trust.

The screening will be followed by a talk and discussion led by Craig McIntyre, Rivers Director for Esk Rivers & Fisheries Trust. His role at the trust includes making land more resilient to nature's extremes and working with farmers and landowners to protect the rivers and their ecosystems.
All money raised from ticket sales will be used towards furthering Sustainable Kirriemuir's work. If cost is a barrier for you to attend this event, please contact us at info@sustainablekirriemuir.co.uk to discuss. We really hope to see you for this informative and insightful event.
