Information
Samba Batucada is a mixture of historic traditions and ever-evolving new techniques and styles. It is fast, rewarding and iconic – an international language that you can hear played in almost every city across the world (but mostly southern Brazil and Europe).
We will start the rhythms from scratch, but previous drumming experience is helpful. We will learn the main groove, some simple breaks, some less simple breaks, some variations, and build up the tempo over the weeks!
Please note: this course takes place over three consecutive Saturday afternoons, and is designed as a block, with weekly workshops to build your learning progressively. Individual sessions are not available to book separately.

- 18+ only, 16 – 18 year olds welcome if accompanied by an adult
