Life Drawing @ Clunie had only just begun before Covid-19 forced us to temporarily halt sessions, and we hope to build on the great start we had as soon as we can safely do so. In the meantime, we are blessed with technology and the will to stay connected, and hope to offer regular online life drawing sessions with our models, so that they can keep working and you can keep practicing from the comfort of your own home, and we can all stay connected not isolated!
Sessions will be priced on a sliding scale so that you can pay what you can afford - from £2 - £5. You will need to download Zoom, as that seems to be the easiest, most user friendly option we have at the moment - and it's free. Once you have booked your ticket you will be sent an email with a link to join the session. Sessions will be open to join 15 mins before the pose begins, and will be 2 hours in length with a 20 min break in the middle. Poses will vary from very short to single poses. Participants can then share their work using the hashtag #lifedrawingatclunie on Instagram, or post to the lifedrawing@clunie facebook group.
A little bit more info about 'us' if you're not familiar with either Clunie Creatives or Lucy Campbell. Clunie Creatives was established by singer songwriter Xan Tyler at her home near Kirkcaldy, Scotland, with the aim of providing a warm and inviting space for like minded lovers of the arts to come together and share. The Clunie Creatives gang host house concerts, workshops and many other wonderful creative events.
Lucy Campbell is a visual artist whose whimsical/magical realist paintings feature a strong figurative element, grounded in her long experience of life drawing. You can check out her work on Instagram, LupiArt on Facebook, or her website, lupiart.com.
