How can I make a ticket type Mandatory?
This feature allows organisers to designate certain ticket types as "mandatory" for purchase before being able to buy any other ticket types for that event. This functionality is useful when attendees are required to first purchase an add-on or prerequisite item, such as a parking pass, before gaining access to the main event tickets.
This mandatory purchase requirement ensures proper access control and bundling of necessary items that all attendees must have before entering the event.
- Click on the “Events” button on the left-hand panel.
- Select the Dashboard of the event you want to edit.
- Click “Tickets”.
- Click Add Ticket Type.
- Name your Mandatory Ticket e.g Car Pass Ticket.
- Set the price and quantity available. Please note once these tickets are sold out, no other tickets can be purchased.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Under the heading “Mandatory for purchase”, click the checkbox:
- Require this ticket to be in a customer's basket or account when they are buying any other ticket.
- Click Save Ticket at the bottom.
- When a customer tries to buy a ticket, they will be required to have the mandatory ticket in their basket first before they can proceed with the rest of the purchase.
- Please make sure you also have other tickets available to purchase.
